This is my personal website where I post my thoughts and analysis on current economic trends, business events and companies, I think are a good investment. The primary purpose is to apply this information in the stock market to find undervalued companies or macro economic trends that will help me and you retire early.

I see growth trends  in 2010 coming from the following international economies "BASIC" ( Brazil, South Africa, India and China) and some innovative breakthrough technology company (like Build Your Own Dreams BYD) giving investors opportunity to make 20%+ return on their investment. Also, I see changes in Fed's monitory policy may give some brave trader the opportunity to make a killing in the bond and currency market. Although, health care seems like an interesting safe investment but due to the new Health care bill, the cost of heath care companies will change dramatically affecting the bottom line , same being the case with drug companies with patents expiring and lack of new blockbuster drugs their top line will be hit. The consumer will continue to deleverage all through 2010 thus growth in housing sector , consumer staples and retail will grow at economy's natural growth rate of 2-3% for 2010. 2011 will be a year where growth will stall and pick up in 2012 when US goes into election mode and companies are not scared about Obama's new regulation.

About Me:

I have been working for several years in New York now with experience in FP&A, budgeting, building forecast models,  project financing, cashflow modeling project evaluation, debt bonds and government regulation and compliance.  I have been interested in macroeconomic trends since my college days, hence I majored in economics at my college in India to get the tools to analyzes random events and in forming a relevant  theory. To stay on top of the events and trends all over the world I have been reading the Wall Street Journal and the Economist religiously for the past decade.  I am a great believer in the mosaic theory and believe the markets are between weak form and semi-weak form, so technical analysis may help to get the underlying momentum sometimes. Working on my CFA now.
